1 of week 6

Hey guys! This is one of the cards I will be making for this Christmas. Products used were MFT BB Santa's Elves stamp set, their stitched square STAX die-namics, metallic gold marker, silver and blue bayou stickles, Ranger faux black enamel, and Copics B29, YG67, E47, E41, E43, C0, C1.

I will be entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge. I'm not sure if the stickles and Ranger enamel count as Tim Holtz products, but I'm trying to enter it anyway. The challenge was to add some sparkle and bling.

1b of week 4

So upset with this. I think it's clean and cute, but I really want to make a really busy page. I tried to scraplift a layout, but everything spiraled out of control since the first step. It doesn't help that I can't find the pictures I set aside!!
Used papers by AC Dear Lizzy Serendipity collection, AC Amy Tangerine Plus One collection, Fancy Pants Designs Be Different collection, Colorbok white textured cardstock, and Pink Paislee Pen Pals collection. Also used a vellum sheet layered over one of the patterned papers.
For embellishments, I used Studio Calico Seven Paper Baxter stickers, Pink Paislee stickers from the Solstice collection, Crate Paper Little You stickers, BoBunny stickers from the Zip-A-Dee-Doodle collection, and washi tape from my stash.

1 week 4

Hey guys! This is a card front I made as a prototype for some of my Christmas cards that I'll be mass-producing. Used Ranger white and black enamels, Copics G07, N1, T5, T7, R08, B37, E27, B39 and B01. Also used MFT stitched squares dienamics and Unity Stamp Company stamp kit Owl Warmhearted. Cardstocks are SU! Whisper White and Papertrey Ink in kraft and Enchanted Evening.

2 of week 3

Wow, just did this page from scrap. I really need to print photos for when inspiration strikes like this. Used stuff from Bella Boulevard Illustrated Faith She Blooms and Whatever is Lovely collections plus American Crafts Bliss Thickers, Pink Paislee Citrus Bliss stickers, Studio Calico seven paper phrase stickers from the Baxter collection. Used Colorbok white cardstock and My Favorite Things Fringe Chevron dienamics. I know it's pretty simple compared to most scrapbook pages nowadays, but I love how it came together.

1f of week 3

Pulled this together using the last of my scraps of My Favorite Things Nightshift Blue and Pink Lemonade cardstocks and scraps of Simple Stories's Bloom & Grow patterned paper. The sentiment is from Justrite's Grand Sentiments set, and I stamped it on black and heat embossed using clear fine detail embossing powder. The heat warped the panels and made them stand out more in a really cool way! But seriously lol don't heat emboss after assembling the whole card.

1e of week 3

Did a shaker card with Simple Stories Bloom & Grow collection and some dew drops from Honey Bee stamps. The seed beads are from a multipack Simon Says Stamps sells.

1d of week 3

More birthday cards using Simple Stories Bloom & Grow collection. Used my xyron  to add adhesive to the back of the paper diecuts. Used Stampin Up! Whisper White cardstock and My Favorite Thing's Pink Lemonade cardstock. Another quick, easy, and cute card.

1c of week 3

Getting my stash out to use up my supplies. Most of the card is made with the Simple Stories Bloom & Grow collection. Used Stampin Up! Whisper White cardstock and My Favorite Thing's Nightshift Blue cardstock. The "birthday" sentiment was stamped with Versamagic Night Sky ink with a Justrite Grand Sentiments stamp. Quick, easy, cute---just how I like my cards.

Gosh this took forever to color! Background is from a business card from Honey Bee Stamps. I colored the word COLORFUL with a black pen and then went to town on the black and white doodle flowers with a load of Copics, too many to keep track of lol. I used American Crafts black glitter tape to frame the foam tape, which I used two layers of. The shaker is made of clear diamonds from Honey Bee Stamps.

1 of Week 3

I'd colored this mermaid after a betta fish I saw at Petco. Need to work on skin coloring, though! Did subtle stamping with Versamark Dazzle in frost on a Whisper White panel. The patterned paper is from Colorbok primary geometric pad. Purple cardstock is from Papertrey Ink and is called Royal Velvet. Mermaid stamp is by The Greeting Farm and the hearts in the white panel are by Unity Stamp Co. and another by Simon Says Stamp's Sketch Ranunculus. Sequins are from Craft Medley's viola set. I also used Ranger white enamel and silver stickles.

1c week 2

Another mermaid card! Papers and stickers from Echo Park let's be mermaid collection except for the paper that's lime green with white. Mermaid stamp is Shelly from The Greeting Farm. Copics used are BG57 BG01 BG0000 RV09 YR07 E81.

1b of week 2

Quick birthday card for a guy friend of mine who said he didn't mind it girly...so boy did I go girky with the pink hair lol. Used Echo Park let's be mermaids collection for all the stickers, mermaid stamp and sentiment by The Greeting Farm (Mishell) and Little Mermaids set. Copic colors are E81 RV32, 34, 09, BG57, 01, BV29, G07, Y17, YR07. Used Ranger white enamel accents for pearl necklace. Hope you like it!

1 of week 2

Quick card with some new goodies :) Used Unity Stamp Co. Summertime Bouquet, a MFT roses background, Kuretake watercolor paints, ultrafine clear embossing powder, Ranger archival ink in black, hearts cut out from a background plate by Taylored Expressions, a butterfly made from Modge Podge glue and silicone mold, Papertrey Ink cardstock, white textured Colorbok cardstock, oval nestabilities, Neenah Solar White cardstock. I shouldve used watercolor paper but, as always, forgot.

1c week 1 of 15

Not too happy with the first card, so I moved a few elements around and came up with the second version, which seems a bit more balanced to me. It's a belated birthday card for a sweet neighbor of mine. He treats me as if I were his own granddaughter :)
Most of the card is from the Bloom and Grow collection by Simple Stories except the yellow paper, which is from the Authentique essentials collection.

1b week 1 of 15

Second project for this week! My head practitioner is young and super cool and chatty like me, so every time I go over, we have a blast catching up. She loves plants, so I decided to give her this indoor plant for her office, a peace lily.  The roots are submerged in water and I added white river rocks from my garden to make it pop. Added Amrican Crafts white lace and one of their specialy ribbons and a big glittery rose by Prima. Love how feminine and elegant it looks while not being overly girly (she's married and has kids, so I didn't want to add pink).

Week 1 of ???

I've tried to do a project a day before but can't keep up because of my highly stressful busy life, so will post at least one project a week instead. This is this week's. 12x12 paper is by Studio Calico Thataway collection and I used dreamweaver glossy embossing white paste, a polka dot stencil, assorted paper flowers, Webster's Pages mini petal whimsies resin flowers, Bazzil Antique Aged Paper patterned paper, ranger crackle accents, chipboard shapes, white mesh, washi tape, AC zigzag felt ribbon, embellishments from Blue Fern Studios Nautical Set, and a few other things.

Flashy Florals Fun

Hey guys! I did not pull this off like I wanted to. I need to look at more cards made with these stamps. Some are absolute masterpieces. Mine looked so busy that I had to cut the panel into pieces to help. Uneven pieces lol. Oops!
It looks way better like this but not quite there yet.
Used Taylored Expressions dew drops, We R Memory Keepers silver sequin stickers, Maya Road wooden butterfly, MFT glitter card stock in silver, MFT flashy florals and dies, Kaisercraft fishing net die, mini MISTI, Versamagic ink in Bamboo Leaves, Aloe Vera, Night Sky, Aquatic Splash, Brilliance ink in Pearl Lavender and Pearl Sky, SU! Whisper White, unknown brown cardstock, Tim Holtz inks in antique linen, frayed burlap, shabby shutters, and peeled paint.
Quick tip: Let layers DRY before cutting into pieces...my layers shifted when I cut them because I didn't let the glue dry completely.

new haul video coming up

Guys, ugh! I loaded one a few weeks ago and deleted if from my phone, only to find it didn't load properly when I noticed it almost had no views on Youtube. I pulled it, but am so sad I couldn't share the new goodies with you, as I had already put everything away. I hate having lots of packages outside because my golden retriever has been known to steal them from the counter or table and make merry with the contents.
However, now I have several small purchases and the unboxing of a Fancy Pants Designs warehouse box and an October Afternoon flashback box. Am excited to see what random goodies I'll be getting in those! Along with a few extra small purchases, everything should arrive by the end of next week and the video should be up during the weekend. Fingers crossed everything arrives quickly!

Another card just for fun :)

Another card just for fun :) This stamp and others by The Greeting Farm were the whole reason I bought the Let's Be Mermaids by Echo Park collection. The green with the plus signs is from one of the dozens of random papers from the Paper Issues warehouse boxes I bought. There was a coordinating pattern in the EP collection, but I didn't want to use it! I know, hoarder much? Guilty :) Anyway, this other paper matched the collection colors perfectly. The anchor is from Simple Stories's Carpe Diem collection, one of the ephemera shapes. The stamp is by The Greeting Farm and she is called Oona. She is so cute! I bought her sisters too. Will be making cards with those soon. I used navy washi tape to cover a banner that said "notes" on the panel the mermaid is mounted on. I used the let's be mermaids bit on the bottom of the 12x12" papers to make a little banner and used stickers from the collection to add sticker sequins and the starfish to fill up the blank spaces a little. The card stock is Spring Rain by Papertrey Ink and I used copics to color: E53 E55 YR12 Y18 R02 R05 YG17 YG25 G07. Oh right, and used white enamel accent by Ranger.
This is the second card this week. I'm on a roll!

Just for fun card

I made this card just for fun, and am so happy with it! I had made the card on the right a long time ago and loved how it came out, so tried to imitate it. Didn't come out exactly like I'd done it, but it still looks great. I played around with the layers and didn't want to cover up the panel with the colored circles and wanted the dog pattern on the other panel to show too. I came up with the kraft panel stamped with "woof" and hearts and added the image perfectly :D But wait, the dog in the Lucky Dogs set by The Greeting Farm faces in the other direction! Yes, there are products that help you make mirror images, but I don't want to spend money on those. I stamped the image on white card stock, held it over a clear stamping block with the stamped image facing down and held it up to a light and traced it with a black 0.8 Copic Multiliner. I don't know if this will work with colored card stock, but it worked great with Neenah Solar White #120.
Papers are Papertrey Ink kraft card stock and We R Memory Keepers Friends Furever 6x6" pad. Used R22 and N0 for the dog and the mini Misti to stamp the hearts and woofs on the small piece of kraft card stock.
Since it's technically Sunday and thus the beginning of the week, this counts as my weekly project for this week :)

Another altered fairy

This is the second of the fairies I painted. I had to make do with what I had because I didn't want to buy more paints. I think it's good enough to take outside and display in my garden :)
I'm trying to tackle one crafting project a week, so this is this week's project. Stay tuned for a bonus one---I'm also painting a garden gnome.

Repurposed card

I made this card maybe over a year ago. Originally it had a felt scallop border, but the felt was cut too thin and it tore. It also tore the cardstock underneath. I didn't want to throw out the card; I thought I could maybe use it to recreate the original. I toyed with the idea of using washi tape, but nothing I had complemented the design. I went for glitter tape instead. I used a wide silver glitter , I think by Scotch. It looked too plain, so I went through my glitter tape stash. I bought a huge assorted pack by American Crafts from scrapbook.com. So worth the crazy shipping to my PO Box. I believe it has 24 colors. I decided to layer the plain silver with a teal that matched the felt birds, and it's awesome!
I also added the sentiment from Clearly Bessoted's Sentimental Type in Memento London Fog.

Birthday RAK

So I joined the Birthday Random Acts of Kindness forum over at Splitcoast Stampers and committed to sending 2 cards a month to people with birthdays. These are what I came up with. I am in love with shaker cards and how easy they are to make nowadays.
I used MFT stitched square frames and assorted cardstock from my stash. I have no idea who made the textured orange cardstock or the light pink one. The dark pink is SU! melon mambo. The floral patterned paper is from the Woodland Park collection by October Afternoon. Got an 8" x 8" paper pad from one of the Paper Issues warehouse boxes. I'll be doing shaker cards in darker colors with this same pad, mixing up the solid frames with a patterned paper with a large pattern.
The sentiment die is MFT; it was free because I purchased over $60 worth of products. For the shaker mix, I used seed beads by SSS in white and orange, and sequins by Doodlebug Design's rainbow assortment in pink and yellow, and yellow by Queen & Co. Also used Stephanie Barnard chunky glitter and rhinestones from Ebay. I'm so thankful that I got a small Xyron sticker maker for sentiments, because adhering those thin words would've been very difficult and messy if I had used liquid glue.

Set of thank-you cards

Made these with one of the sheets of paper I got from one of the Paper Issues warehouse boxes. It is by Studio Calico, and from the moment I saw it I knew I had to use it for shaker frames. The back of it was perfect as a contrast frame with the black polka dots on white. As a background for the shakers, I used some more of the same sheet and papers from Kaisercraft Mermaid Tales and My Favorite Things Fun & Frolic patterned paper. The frames were cut with My Favorite Things stitched square frames. I used white textured card stock from Colorbok,  Sweet Blush by Papertrey Ink, a mustard yellow and a dark green from the Stampin' Up Earth Elements assorted pack. I'm not sure what company the thanks die is by. Also used acetate, rainbow assortment sequins by doodlebug, sequins from the Craft Medley Go Green pack, Stephanie Barnard chunky glitter, and seed beads from a multipack by Simon Says Stamp. I'm a little pissed though that the black seed beads are not in fact seed beads; they are like tiny little black sticks.

Inspirational magnet

I took like an hour painting the panel with my kuretake watercolors and a water brush. I stamped the images from Simon Says Stamps sets called Sketch Ranunculus and Roses for You. It is my first time painting with watercolors so my coloring definitely needs practice. Also, I forgot to use the Rangers archival ink, so the Memento ink ran a little when I tried wetting the Neenah Solar White cardstock before applying the watercolor. The letter stickers are by October Afternoon and are called Flash Alpha Orange Soda "Shop Front" and I love them. I need more of these!

Frangipani worm/caterpillar

Just wanted to share a cool pic I took of a frangipani caterpillar. It turns into huge moths. They feed on frangipani plants here and will strip the trees bare, but they in turn fertilize the ground underneath with their waste, so the tree makes a complete recovery and grows even more leafy than before. These can be found in some states of the US and all the way to South America. This one is from where I live in Puerto Rico. If I see them on the ground, I put them back on the tree before people step on them, but it's a little scary because they will start thrashing and waving their little fake stinger. I usually let them climb on a leaf and then quickly put the leaf on the tree.

Altered fairy

Hi guys! I found this beautiful fairy at TJ Maxx. She came with some very muted colors, so I decided to paint it with acrylic paints and added stickles to her wings. I used cool mint, lavender, and frosted lace stickles. I painted the mushrooms, her eyes, lips, and hair, her wings, and the frog's eyes. Her hair is like a pinkish blonde I made with brown and cream, since I didn't have pink paint.

Another sympathy card

This one is for my brother's girlfriend and her family. She lost her grandma recently. I used the same design from the last card but cut the flowers from silver glitter paper from My Favorite Things. The Memory Box Chrysanthemum Bouquet die didn't cut completely through, so I left the flowers intact, without removing the pieces from between the outline, but I did cut out one of the flowers. The sentiment is from a Unity Stamp Co. set called First Friend, Best Friend, Forever. Patterned papers from Kaisercraft Chapter One pad.

Sympathy card

Hi guys. Today I'm sharing a quick sympathy card for some friends who recently lost their sweet kitty. I was so sad because they truly cherished him and took great care of him; he was a special-needs cat but his life was full of love.
I used Kaisercraft Chapter One papers and the flower is cut out of a scrap of BoBunny paper. Dies are nestabilities labels 20 and Memory Box chrysanthemum bouquet die. The stamped sentiment is by Clearly Besotted , the Sentimental Type set.
I really liked the design of the card and will probably make more like this but experiment with the ink color. The black seems a little harsh against the softer colors.

MFT shaker card

Hello all! I made this card for an aunt who got me some things that I couldn't buy locally. I used My Favorite Things BB You Gnome Me stamps to stamp a cute flower pattern on the plain orange cardstock with Versamark Dazzle in frost and the gnome with Memento tuxedo black. The cardstocks are from a multipack but don't know which brand. The patterned paper is by MFT from their Dots & Stripes Sorbet pad.  I have no idea who made the die; it is part of a set of 5 different word dies. The cute cross-stitch rectangle is also by MFT.
Sequins are from Queen & Co. and Doodlebug Designs. I also added white seed beads from Simon Says Stamp's shaker set. Copics used were E01, Y18 and YR16. Thanks for looking!

MFT's Camp Create Glitzy Glitter challenge

Hey all! This is my entry for MFT's Camp Create challenge #1. We had to use glitter  on our creation. I colored in a gnome from one of their stamp sets, called You Gnome Me. I stamped his hat on a strip of black glitter tape and cut it, then taped it to the image stamped on white card stock, which I colored with Copics E01, C1, R29, B05. I laminated the gnome with my Xyron 510 and added an adhesive magnet to the back. He'll be a super cute addition to my fridge!

Here's my badge for this challenge:

If we earn all 5 badges by the 23rd, we are in the running to win a $150 My Favorite Things certificate!

giving away some stuff I no longer use

Hey there! I have these stamps, stencils, and paper journaling cards I don't need. I also have tons of miscellaneous 6x6 sheets of patterned paper and some of the matching embellishments for the collections, like stickers and chipboard shapes. I'm giving all that away to the first person who emails me at claudettecruz@ymail.com. I'm only asking for $10 to help offset the shipping cost, which will be around $14 for a USPS priority medium flat rate box.

Cat not included, haha!
